EPN(Entomopathogenic nematodes)

EPN (Entomopathogenic Nematodes) — Heterorhabditis indica formulation — is a biological control agent for soil-dwelling insect larvae. On contact, the nematodes enter the host through natural body openings along with symbiotic bacteria, causing septicemia that kills the insect; they then feed and reproduce inside the cadaver for two to three generations before emerging to seek new hosts.

Technical Content:

• Heterorhabditis indica: 1.00% w/w
• 10,000 infective juveniles (IJs) per gram
• Carrier: 97% w/w carboxymethyl cellulose, 2% w/w cellulose

Mode of Action & Application:

• Apply 1 kg of formulation to the sub-soil before planting
• Drenching: 10 g per litre of water (200–250 ml per plant)

• Tomato, brinjal, arecanut, and other fruit and plantation crops
